1. The short version
InnerWork collects only the information needed to send requested emails, understand and improve the site, and respond when you contact us. We use cookieless Google Analytics measurement by default and enable optional analytics cookies only when you accept them. We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Site measurement
Google Analytics receives limited cookieless measurement signals by default, such as consent state, page and event information, timestamp, browser-supplied user agent and referrer. Google states that denied-consent measurements do not read or write analytics cookies and are used for basic measurement and modeling. If you accept optional analytics cookies, Google Analytics can additionally recognize visits and collect device, browser, approximate location, referral and page-interaction data. We do not intentionally send email addresses, journal entries, health information or the contents of private communications to analytics.
Purchases
Purchases are completed on Gumroad. InnerWork does not directly receive or store your full payment card details. Gumroad’s own terms and privacy policy govern information you provide there.
3. How we use information
- Deliver the prompts, newsletter or release updates you requested.
- Maintain, measure, secure and improve the website.
- Respond to questions and privacy requests.
- Meet legal obligations and protect our rights.
For visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our primary legal bases are your consent for marketing and optional analytics cookies, performance of a requested service, and—where permitted—legitimate interests in basic cookieless site measurement, security and operations where those interests do not override your rights.
4. Cookies and analytics
We store a necessary preference cookie so the site remembers whether you accepted or declined optional analytics cookies. The Google tag loads with Analytics storage denied. If you decline, it remains denied and Google Analytics may receive cookieless measurements for aggregate reporting and modeling; it does not read or write Analytics cookies. If you accept, Analytics storage changes to granted and Google Analytics may use cookies for fuller visit and interaction reporting. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain disabled in both cases. You can withdraw consent by clearing the innerwork_consent cookie and choosing again on your next visit.
5. Service providers
We use limited providers to operate the site: Kit (formerly ConvertKit) for email delivery, Google Analytics for cookieless and consented analytics, Gumroad for product checkout and hosting infrastructure for serving the website. Providers process information under their own terms and, where applicable, on our behalf.
6. Retention and security
We keep newsletter information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, subject to limited records needed to honor opt-outs or legal obligations. Contact messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
7. Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. California residents may also have rights to know, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and receive equal treatment. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Children
InnerWork is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided information, please contact us so we can review and delete it.
